What happens to what you send.
This site is a few static pages and one contact form. Here is everything it collects and where it goes, in plain words.
What the site collects
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your message, an email address, a phone number or both, the topic you pick, whether you ticked that something is down, and the language of the page. The form also has a hidden field that only bots fill in; a message with it filled in is dropped. For a few minutes the server also remembers your connection, as described under limits against floods.
Where it goes
The form sends it to a small function on Cloudflare Pages, which emails it through Microsoft 365 to andres@nanoscript.net. If you left an email address, the same function sends you a short receipt that does not repeat what you wrote.
The function does not save your message anywhere. It lives in my mailbox like any other email, and the receipt in yours. If sending fails, the function writes a one-line error to the Cloudflare log without the content of your message.
If the form cannot deliver, your own email app opens with the message ready, and it is sent from your account like any email you write.
Limits against floods
To stop one connection from flooding the form, the function remembers the IP address (the number that identifies your internet connection) of each connection that sends a message, and the email address each receipt goes to, in the memory of the Cloudflare server that handled it. Nothing of that is written to disk or to a log. An entry is dropped once ten minutes pass after its last message, and all of it is gone when that server restarts. More than five messages from one connection in ten minutes are refused, and an address gets at most three receipts in that time.
What I do with it
I read it and answer it. I do not put you on a mailing list, and I do not sell, share or use it for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
The code of this site sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser storage, and loads no analytics or advertising scripts.
Other services involved
Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any host, handles your IP address and request details to serve the pages. The fonts are served from this site, so no font service sees your visit. Before the form sends, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person and not a bot is sending it; it runs in a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com and sees your browser and connection details for that check only. Microsoft 365 carries the email. LinkedIn, the systems on the work page and the free apps are separate sites with their own privacy notices.
Deleting your messages
Email andres@nanoscript.net or call +1 863 296 8042 and I will delete your messages from my mailbox.
