// independent software practice

Software built right, the first time.

I help small businesses and growing companies build the systems they actually need - databases, web apps, IT infrastructure. No bloat. No drama. No 12-person meetings.

// what I do

Three things, end to end

Each engagement starts with a written scope and a fixed price. You know what you're getting before we begin.

[01]

Database engineering

Your data, organized. Queries that finish on time. Migrations that don't lose anything.

Examples: Postgres design from scratch, MSSQL tuning, full ETL migrations
[02]

Custom software

Web apps and internal tools that fit your business. Built to be used daily, not parked after a demo.

Examples: Multi-tenant SaaS, internal dashboards, mobile-first apps
[03]

IT infrastructure

The plumbing nobody wants to think about - email, DNS, hosting, backups. Done once. Stays done.

Examples: M365 setup, Cloudflare Tunnels, self-hosted deployments
// who you're hiring

A decade across four industries.

I'm Andres. NanoScript is my engineering practice for projects outside my full-time job. I work with clients internationally - US-based companies on contract plus a portfolio of my own SaaS platforms.

I started at Cottonimages.com, a photo studio and reseller - four years as a multi-hat manager doing IT, purchasing, inventory, and operations. They're still a NanoScript client today; that working relationship has spanned over 10 years across both roles.

After that, one year of IT at a healthcare network in South Florida. Then five years at a legal-tech SaaS where I started in tier-3 support and finished as a developer over the last two years there. Today I'm Senior Developer at an enterprise software company focused on Active Directory and Microsoft 365 governance.

"I don't sell platforms. I solve problems. The systems I build outlive the contracts that funded them."

If you'd rather have one experienced engineer who owns the whole thing than a five-person agency that hands it off twice, we'll get along.

// how it works

03 / build

Ship in slices

Weekly demos. You can redirect at any milestone.

04 / handoff

// let's talk

Have something to build?

One short call, no pitch deck. If it's a fit, we'll write up a scope. If it's not, I'll point you somewhere better.
